Welcome to Mongolia. Our “Discover Altai” expedition team offers you a climbing tour to the highest peak in Mongolia. Mount Khuiten (4374m/14350ft) is located in Altai Tavan Bogd National park (ATBNP), western Mongolia. The ATBNP is famous for its magnificent Altai Mountains and stunning wild nature. It is all included a package tour, comfortable service, and a best-planned itinerary based on our eight years of experience. During the trip, you will be supported by a local master-degree mountain guide, English-speaking guide, expedition cook, and porters. Also, to the base camp, all baggage will be transported by camels. The end of the July and middle of August is the best time for mountaineering. Please join our scheduled departures where you can enjoy the breathtaking views from the highest peak in Mongolia, also you have an opportunity to visit a stunning Khoton lake and stay at the eagle hunter’s summer place. The best time for climbing to Khuiten peak is from June to September.

Welcome to Bayan-Olgii Province, the land of the gorgeous Altai Mountains and home for the last nomadic eagle hunters. The Discover Altai expedition team will meet you on your arrival in Olgii city.
We are Olgii based travel agency, who is mostly concentrate to organize all types of trips in Altai Tavan Bogd National Park. During the trip, you will be supported by the local experienced support team consists of an English speaking tour guide, local mountain guide, and expedition cook. Drive to the North entrance of National Park, the Oigor Valley. Set our tent at the camping site. A delicious meal from our chef cook.
Stay overnight in tent.
Today we will trek to the Base camp. It is an enjoyable trekking which takes around five hours. You need to take a smaller backpack and the rest of the baggage with the camping equipment will be transported by camels. The lunch will be served via lunchboxes and we can have a lunch break on the halfway with stunning nature. Enjoy the panoramic view of Altai Mountain.
Stay overnight in ten
We have two days of acclimatization. Optionally, we can explore a Potanin glacier which is the biggest in Mongolia. It is 18km long and 4 km wide and with a number of deep crevasses. But, in good weather conditions, we can put climbing on these days. The main priority is, of course, safe climbing and then a successful climb to the summit. So, during the trip, our guides can team discuss, and decide which day is good for mountaineering. We can change the dates but, we won’t skip any highlights or activities that were planned in our itinerary. Our mountain guides are experienced and you are in good hands.

Mount Malchin (4050m/ 13290ft) is lowest in “Holly Five Peaks”. The peak is famous for it is located right on borderline between Mongolia and Russia. Also, it is possible to climb on the top without any climbing equipment. It takes around 6 hours in total. Enjoy the stunning nature of the surrounding.
Today we will head to “High Camp” through Potanin glacier. The mountain guide will lead the group. Also, the local porter guys will help us with our extra baggage. There are a lot of crevasses on the way, and our mountain guides will take you the safe trail. Arrive at high camp and set up the mountain tents. Enjoy the view!
The mountain guide will give instructions for our further climbing. And we have to be ready very earlier to catch the morning quite. Enjoy your climbing to the summit. The Khuiten peak is also famous for when you are on the top you can enjoy views of three countries. Russian on the north, China on the south and Mongolia on the east. Our congrats! Enjoy a breathtaking view. Go back to Base camp. And today is the longest distance on our trip.
Trekking to White River. It is the South entrance of the National Park. Take a walk along the river in the gorgeous Valley. This is one of the most beautiful places in the National Park. The color of the river is very white and it takes start from the glacier. It is not drinkable.
After breakfast, we will drive back to Olgii. On the way, we will visit a nomadic eagle hunter’s family. You have an opportunity to explore more about the way of their traditional living. please feel free to photo shooting and filming. in the evening arrive in Olgii, l, check-in at the hotel. Take a hot shower. Farewell dinner at the local restaurant.
